This wedding was the first time working together with my mum. Neither of us were exactly sure how it was going to go so we arrived extra early to get a feel for the place. It was a really simple set-up; the couple had hired a farm with a marquee for the reception and an extra field with bell tents for guests to camp. The caterers, who came just to set up the buffet and then leave, and the pizza van in the evening, were the only staff for the event. Everything else was done by the couple and guests.

We stuck to our original plan; my mum took control of the portraits while I hovered around snapping up some more candid, journalistic stuff and between us, we got a great coverage. The weather was lovely, everyone was really chilled out, and it made for a great experience for everyone.
